“Watching my dad work on his computer whilst doing his job and explaining it to me has really inspired me to make sure I get a degree that is important to me and will help be successful in life,” Howlan says.

Being a senior in a global pandemic wasn't always easy. Howlan went through a lot of ups and downs. It almost affected her decision to go to college.

“Not being around people, not going to school, etc...I'll admit, it did take a toll on me. I saw a difference in my grades. They dropped and I was disappointed in myself, but I didn't really care because there was a lot more going on in the world.,” she said.

Now that the hard times are passing, Howlan’s ready for the next four years of excitement and the new experiences at her dream school. Even with these circumstances going on she is gaining the motivation back and knows if she puts her mind to it, she will succeed and enjoy her upcoming years.
